The Importance of Occupational Hygiene Surveys can’t be underscored enough. This ensures that all employees within a curtain working environment, working with curtain Chemicals and or Machinery is looked after in the best possible manner.
Workers spend so much of their lives in the workplace, its their right to a safe and hygienic working environment, it’s the responsibility of an employer to provide a safe and hygienic working environment.
Occupational Hygiene Surveys are an excellent Tool to keep on top of the Health and Hygiene Challenges facing any business. As times evolves, so do the company’s Occupational Health Requirements. An Occupational Hygiene Survey should be carried out in accordance with the following Act and Regulations.

Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 Section 8 General Duties of Employers to their employees (1) – “Every employers shall provide and maintain, as far as is reasonably practical, a working environment that is safe and without risk to health of his employees.”
Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 Section 9 General Duties of Employers and Self-Employed persons to persons other than their employees (1) – “Every Employer shall conduct his undertaking in such a manner as to ensure, as far as reasonably practical, that persons other than those in his employment who may be directly affected by his activities are not thereby exposed to hazards to their health or safety.”
